In the past I’ve made cards picturing dried flower arrangements and a Christmas card. I’m making a new lot using the above image. When I’m painting glasses to make candle-holders, I clean the brush in turps and then draw it tightly through a square of kitchen paper. This appeared on the kitchen paper. Objet trouve.
Some years ago I befriended a man blind from birth. We went for long country walks with our dogs. I once asked him if he could imagine sight and he had absolutely no idea what it was.
Recently I fell to wondering if I could imagine a sense beyond our basic five, omitting the sixth sense which is irrelevant. Could I imagine a new sense which would have the impact of sight?
If not … why not?
